Under The Sea

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall wanted to make their Flying Enterprise and Diving Bell exhibits interactive. For the Flying Enterprise display we added a period speaker and handset system to play a recording of Win Stracke’s ‘The Sinking of the Enterprise’ along with some teaser clips as visitors approach the display. Our additions to the diving bell included authentic lighting, a Bakelite telephone that rings as you pass it, encouraging you to pick up for some short audio clips. We also installed a proximity controlled audio system for an original newsreel, this means that when the museum is empty it is also quiet, a very popular feature with the staff.
