In March 2020 at the start of the pandemic, We worked in partnership with Dufort Associates to develop, manufacture and deliver open-source, injection moulded PPE in the form of reusable & recyclable face shields (visors). Thanks to the supporters of our Crowdfunder, an amazing team of volunteers and logistics sponsorship from CitySprint we were able to supply & deliver PPE completely free of charge where needed on a same day basis regionally and next-day UK wide. Where organisations were able pay, we supplied the PPE at below market price. It was a privilege to work on such a rewarding project for over a year, taking a locally designed and manufactured product through CE certification and into hospitals, surgeries, factories, care homes, shops, museums, ambulances and exporting to Europe. The reusable CoVisor face shields also had replacement screens, making them between 10 and 100 times more cost effective than disposables, making it one of the most circular products we came across in PPE.
